1. Agreement and Acceptance of Terms

By visiting, accessing, or interacting with Temp-Mail.im (hereinafter referred to as the "Service", "we", "us", or "our"), you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by these Terms and Conditions and our accompanying Privacy Policy.

If you do not agree with any provision set forth in these terms, please discontinue your access and use of the Service immediately.

2. Description of the Service

Temp-Mail.im provides users with on-demand, short-lived, disposable email addresses and real-time webmail inboxes. The Service is engineered strictly as an inbound-only receiving gateway designed to help users:

• Receive software activation codes, one-time passwords (OTPs), and magic links.
• Test developer application onboarding sequences and transactional email deliverability.
• Protect primary personal and business email addresses from marketing spam, telemetry trackers, and data breaches.

3. Acceptable Use Policy & Prohibited Conduct

We maintain a strict zero-tolerance policy against malicious or unlawful utilization of our infrastructure. You explicitly agree NOT to use the Service for any of the following prohibited activities:

• Illegal Activities: Engaging in, facilitating, or promoting actions that violate local, national, or international laws and regulations.
• Cyberattacks & Exploits: Attempting to compromise, probe, overload, DDoS, or breach our server networks, mail transfer agents, or client APIs.
• Fraud & Impersonation: Using disposable mailboxes to impersonate individuals, financial institutions, government agencies, or corporate entities.
• Automated Bot Abuse: Utilizing aggressive headless scrapers or high-concurrency botnets that degrade service availability for other users without prior authorization.
• Phishing & Malware Distribution: Receiving or relaying payloads intended to distribute viruses, ransomware, trojans, or illicit credential-harvesting tools.

We reserve the right to immediately block IP ranges, ban abusive custom handles, and blacklist domains associated with violations of this policy.

4. Message Ephemerality & Irrecoverable Data Purging

The fundamental value of Temp-Mail.im is its ephemeral nature. You acknowledge and accept that:

1. All received emails, verification tokens, and message attachments are held in volatile temporary cache and are permanently destroyed after 24 hours from mailbox instantiation.
2. Manually clicking the Delete button instantly and permanently wipes the active mailbox and its contents in 0ms.
3. Once an email or mailbox is deleted or purged, it is irrecoverable. Our engineering team cannot retrieve, restore, or export expired messages under any circumstances.

5. Critical Exclusions: High-Value & Sensitive Accounts

Due to the short-lived lifecycle of disposable inboxes, you agree NEVER to use Temp-Mail.im for services that require persistent long-term access or critical password recovery, including but not limited to:

• Online banking, credit card services, cryptocurrency wallets, and investment platforms.
• Primary government, tax filing, healthcare, or legal portals.
• Primary social media accounts containing irreplaceable personal photos or professional networks.
• Permanent software licenses, domain registrations, or digital assets where long-term ownership depends on email recovery.

Temp-Mail.im is not liable for any account loss, lockout, or financial damage resulting from the use of temporary email on permanent services.

6. Service Availability & Modifications

We strive to provide 99.9% uptime with sub-second message delivery. However, the Service is provided on an "as-is" and "as-available" basis. We reserve the right to:

• Add, replace, or retire specific domain names across our active receiving domain pool at any time to maintain high deliverability standards.
• Perform scheduled server maintenance, security upgrades, or infrastructure optimizations.
• Modify or discontinue features of the Service with or without prior notice.

7. Intellectual Property Rights

All original branding, user interface designs, custom SVG illustrations, website styling, and software scripts comprising Temp-Mail.im are the exclusive intellectual property of Temp-Mail.im and are protected by applicable copyright, trademark, and unfair competition laws. You may not duplicate, reverse engineer, or republish our assets without prior written authorization.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties ("As-Is")

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, TEMP-MAIL.IM IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT GUARANTEE THAT INCOMING EMAILS WILL NEVER BE DELAYED, FILTERED BY THIRD PARTIES, OR LOST DUE TO NETWORK CONDITIONS BEYOND OUR CONTROL.

9. Limitation of Liability

IN NO EVENT SHALL TEMP-MAIL.IM, ITS DEVELOPERS, OR OPERATORS BE LIABLE FOR ANY DIRECT, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICE, INCLUDING LOSS OF DATA, ACCOUNT ACCESS, OR REPUTATION, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.
